My name is Cody and I've been courting a call to ordained ministry since kindergarten. As I formally study Theology and English literature, I find myself seeing the face of God in all life--from the most regal prelate to the lowest beggar--with no regard to gender, race, creed, orientation, etc.
I find great passion in writing and making music (I'm afraid that my musical talent is limited to Gregorian Chant and other liturgical settings.)
I am a pacifist and cannot comprehend how a Christian--a follower of the nonviolent Jesus Christ--could be anything other than a pacifist.
I was born and baptized in the ELCA, raised and rebaptized in the Baptist Church, confirmed in the United Church of Christ, and frequently attend Mass with a monastery of progressive Benedictine nuns.
I have since come full circle and have reclaimed my baptismal covenant in the ELCA (where I am blessed enough...(or cursed enough)...to teach confirmation for a bunch of rowdy 7th and 8th Grade Boys.
